On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, the Global Warming Express, represented by 10 year old Lori, from Mountain Mahogany School in Albuquerque, testified about the need to regulate Methane Emissions into the atmosphere.
One of our young GWEers helped to kick off the People’s Climate March in Albuquerque last September. Nine-year-old Emily gave a wonderful speech about her involvement in the Global Warming Express, their efforts to 100 percent solarize their school and why ACTION is so important at this time.
The book, The Global Warming Express, made the top 12 books of the Sierra Club’s picks for how to talk to kids about climate change.
Five Global Warming Express students or graduates were nominated to attend the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, last week (Sept. 13 and 14) and one student was selected to attend.
