On April 20, 2026, Global Warming Expressers in Raton went on a hike to Lake Maloya in Sugarite Canyon State Park! Their mentor, Ms.Pat, talked with them about what happened in 2011, at the park,when there was not enough water in the forest and a wildfire started. In this picture, the kids are pretending to be Ponderosa Pine Trees when lightning is about to strike them. It’s been a big year for talking about the need for enough rainwater and snow pack!!
