To end their school year, on EARTH DAY, April 22, 2026,the Global W.E. kids at MRG decided to build a labyrinth on the site of what was once a catchment pond on the grounds of their school campus. Although the pond has gone dry now, the labyrinth will allow the children and grownups to take a meditative walk, to think about the water that was once there and to imagine it returning, again. The children also scattered seeds from Plants of the Southwest. The seeds are for plants called Ephemeral plants because they will grow and bloom only when there is enough water and the conditions are right. The seeds these Global W.E. kids planted will not grow right away, but, perhaps when they return to school next fall, if there has been enough rain, the flowers will be growing and blooming!
