Global Warming Expressers went on a walking field trip to the Santa Fe River. Usually in the springtime, the river is rushing because the snow is melting from the mountains causing running water to go down hill to join the river. BUT…..

When the Global W.E. girls arrived at the river, they found it to be completely dry!!!! There was no water to be seen, anywhere. Everyone was very confused. Where did the water go? they all asked. And then, the next question was- is the water coming back?!?

The Global W.E. mentors had brought sketch pads and colored pencils and markers, so the girls sat down on the rocks at the edge of the river to draw. Some of them even sat IN the river to draw, since it was not a river any longer, but had become an arroyo!
